TRYON – Edward Albert Richardson, age 86 of Tryon, NC, passed away on January 18, 2021.  Ed was known as “Buddy” to many and loved animals, particularly horses.  His love of horses started at an early age and he managed to find a way onto one even in the past year.  He was a talented photographer and he focused on capturing shots of horses and the people who loved them.  He liked to tinker with computers and enjoyed everything related to history. He sang in the choir at his church and was part of many theater productions in NC. He loved to sing.  He lived in many places during the course of his lifetime, Gloucester, MA, Virginia, Italy, Chicago, Texas, and California before settling in North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his mother Olga Bernice (Rogers) Richardson, and adoptive fathers, Benjamin Bottoms and Kenneth Richardson.  He leaves behind a legacy of good people and many good friends, Carol “Kitty” Kittson Jongenburger and Wesley C. Moore.  He is survived by his daughters Robin Ann Richardson of Evanston, IL and Aimee (Jason Heath) Richardson Heath of Laveen, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Colton and Kyra Loew of Evanston, IL, and Jayelin Lombard of Laveen, AZ.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Donations in Edward’s memory can be made to https://www.cadencecesa.com/ for therapeutic equestrian services or to www.stroke.org
