MILL SPRING Benjamin Franklin Hudson, 72, of Mill Spring, NC passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Ben was the son of the late Cornelius Thomas and Annie Bell Pritchard Hudson.  Ben was a native of Polk County and was an impressive stone mason by trade, he was the owner of Ben Hudson Stonework. He was a member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church.   One of Ben’s biggest loves in life, were his three dogs, Coco, Kyan and Chewy.

In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by a son, Scott Hudson Price; one sister, Betty Jean Black; and three brothers, Thomas Hudson, Troy Hudson and Chester Hudson.

Surviving are four children, Benjamin Robert Hudson (Caroline) of Atlanta, GA, Joshua P. Hudson (LaShea) of Polk County, NC, Alecia Mergenthaler (Eddie) of South Carolina and Chris Hudson Price (Mary) of Kentucky; seventeen grandchildren, and nine brothers and sisters, Doris McDade (Lewis), Larry Hudson (Brenda), Patricia McDaniel (Tim), Ray Hudson (Rebecca), Wayne Hudson, Terry Hudson (Marilyn), Randy Hudson (Anita), Robin Smith (Richard) and Tammy Waldrop (Neal).

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 in the Pea Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joshua Lathan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pea Ridge Baptist Church Youth, C/O Marilyn Hudson, 857 Big Level Road, Mill Spring, NC 28756.
