CHESNEE, SC – Johnnie Foster, 67 was born April 1, 1953 (always a jokester) and passed away January 2, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Rose Foster and his two brothers Jimmy and Jack. He is survived by his wife Shirley Foster, his aunt Gladys Melton, his uncle Billy Ruff, many cousins, and his beloved grandchildren Tyler, Lucas, Levi, Andreu, Mac and Savannah.
He grew up in Polk County/Mill Springs, North Carolina and later resided at Green Creek, North Carolina. He was a mill wright by trade and before his retirement from Spartanburg Steel he moved to Chesnee, South Carolina where he resided with his wife, Shirley.
He loved God, family, friends, fishing, guns and riding his trike. You could find him at the ball field on game night where he loved cheering his grandkids on. He loved all of his grandchildren with all his heart. He was truly a selfless and amazing person who loved with his whole heart. He will be greatly missed!
A mortuary service will not be held. He wouldn’t want us to be sad. We will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
