Lots of cookies and an outdoor Christmas party

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

On Friday, December 11, the Membership Ministry Team at The Congregational Church of Tryon orchestrated a cookie exchange and a collection of cookies to be given to those who live alone in their own homes.

Over 35 dozen cookies were prepared by nine people. Bakers brought their hand-baked cookies and went home with others’ cookies. Every baker made extras so that those cookies could be donated and packaged as gifts to some 30 others in our community and provide additional refreshments at the Church’s outdoor Christmas Party that evening.

Thanks to the good planning by the Faith Formation Team, carol singing, marshmallow roasting, ornament decorating, hot-chocolate drinking and joyful fellowship also happened that night.
