Columbus – JD Haynes, 87, of Mill Spring died Nov. 16, 2020, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Columbus, NC.

 

A native of Polk County, he was a son of the late General Lee and Carrie Lee Lightle Haynes. He retired from Ford Motor Co, where he was a job setter.  

 

He was predeceased by his sister, Jannie Lee and brother Robert Haynes.

 

Surviving are his wife, Harriet Hayward Haynes, his daughter, Marilyn Haynes of the home, and his son Sherman Haynes, of Berkeley, Mich. Also, his brothers John (Marguerite) of Imlay City, Mich., Thomas Haynes of Ray, Mich., Preston (Sandra) of Alger, Mich, and his sister Doris Cagle (& husband Ray Kinney) of Alger, Mich.  

 

Other survivors include: his granddaughters Kendra (Jorge) and Rachel (Melchizedek); great grandchildren Antoni, Kiara, Aliyah ,Enoch, Elijah and Elisha.
