Polk’s Ollis looking for history of a stone for a project at Tennant Stadium

By Andy Rhinehart

Polk County head football coach Bruce Ollis is looking for some help on a piece of Wolverine history as part of a new project.

Polk County High’s senior class of 2020 donated a rock to be placed at the school entrance, a large stone that members of the class and PCHS art teacher Jeff Thomas then painted with the school logo.

A smaller rock has been sitting next to Polk County’s fieldhouse for several years, and Ollis would like to do something similar with that stone and place it in G.M. Tennant Stadium.

Ollis is interested in finding out which class donated the stone. Anyone with knowledge of the project can send that information to Polk Sports at news@polksports.com and we’ll make certain that information is relayed.
