Two juveniles injured
Boating accident on Lake Lanier Sunday injured 2 children
LAKE LANIER—A boating accident on Sunday morning injured 2 juveniles on Lake Lanier.
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources said a tube being pulled by a 16-foot boat collided with a docked boat on the lake.
One child was airlifted and the other taken by ambulance, both to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
One child is currently in critical condition and the other suffered a broken leg and required surgery.
The Tryon Fire Department was first on scene and also responding was the SCDNR and the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. according to reports.
The helicopter landed at the Tryon Antique Mall parking lot Sunday morning to airlift the child.
