62-year old dies in single vehicle crash along Highway 9

MILL SPRING—A Mill Spring man died Sunday after a single vehicle crash along Highway 9.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clavenger said Gerry Lee Talbert Jr., 62, of Highway 9 Mill Spring, was pronounced dead at 4:39 p.m. Sunday at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Talbert was transported to Spartanburg following a single vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4 p.m. Sunday along Highway 9 South in Polk County, according to Clavenger.

The investigation into the crash is pending a forensic exam by the coroner’s office and the North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
