Patricia Ryan, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Flat Rock, NC.

Pat was born March 18, 1928 to Joseph and Celia Ryan  (O’Donnell)  in  Dublin, Ireland.

She emigrated to the United States in her early 20’s and became a physical education teacher at Our Lady of Victory Academy in NY.

 

Pat retired to her cabin in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate NY but was drawn to the beauty of NC and eventually moved to Tryon and then to Hendersonville.

 

Pat formed long lasting relationships with most everyone she came in touch with due to her wonderful Irish way of touching everyone’s heart.  She had a deep love of nature and animals.

Her wishes were to support Foothills Humane Society  –  in lieu of flowers, donations in Pat’s memory may be made to Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mountain Rd, Columbus, NC 28722.

 

A Mass of Christian burial and celebration of her life was held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Spartanburg, SC  on  July, 10^th  followed by interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
