St. Luke’s Hospital is pleased to announce they are expanding primary care services at Saluda Family Medicine to include conventional family medicine with a focus on prevention and wellness.

When local interest was expressed regarding adding a conventional component to the Saluda practice, St. Luke’s Hospital investigated the possibility. An opportunity became available, and Colden O’Dell was recruited for the position. Colden Odell, FNP, currently works with Dr. Jeffrey Viar at Foothills Medical Associates in Columbus and looks forward to also serving the Saluda community and surrounding areas.

“I am excited to partner with Dr. Lisa Broyles at Saluda Family Medicine and to provide a conventional healthcare option to complement Dr. Broyles’ functional direction,” said Colden. “Dr. Broyles and St. Luke’s have established a wonderful, hometown healthcare practice in Saluda, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve this close-knit community alongside Dr. Broyles.”

Since opening in April 2018, Saluda Family Medicine has offered healthcare concentrated on functional medicine provided by Dr. Lisa Broyles. The functional medicine model is an individualized, patient-centered, science-based approach that empowers patients and practitioners to work together to address the underlying causes of disease and promote optimal wellness. It requires a detailed understanding of each patient’s genetic, biochemical and lifestyle factors and leverages that data to direct personalized treatment plans that lead to improved patient outcomes.

Dr. Lisa Broyles will continue to offer functional medicine and will keep her regular schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Colden O’Dell will be available on-site Mondays and Wednesdays.
