Do unto others

“Now you know better, do better” is the perfect slogan for our current times. Thank you to Reverend Eleanor Miller for using that phrase on June 7 when she gave a speech about the current issue with how people of color are treated in our country. Her words have the same meaning that most of us were taught as children, “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.”

We can all be part of the solution for how people of color are treated and how we treat our earth. The next time you see someone being mistreated, speak up.

The words of Margaret Mead address the issue of how we can be the catalyst for these needed changes, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, that is the only thing that ever has.”
