Tryon Painters and Sculptors holds first show opening

After three months of being closed, Tryon Painters and Sculptors experienced an exciting opening day on Saturday, June 13. To add to the excitement was the new show, “Show Your Style”, an all members show. Our member artists have been busy during this challenging time and showed up with 104 pieces of 2D and 3D art represented by 59 artists.

This show will remain open until July 25 with gallery hours being Wednesday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We encourage you to come out and enjoy the amazing show.

Comments heard from our visitors were, “what a diverse collection”, “the color welcomed me”, “there is so much talent here”, “the gift shop is a wonderful place to shop” and so forth.

The streets and sidewalks of Tryon were bustling with visitors from NC, SC and TN. People were out enjoying the beautiful weather, art galleries, shops, restaurants and just being “OUT”. We had free masks and sanitizer available for our visitors but were pleased that the 30+ people who came to view our show had their own. TPS is an example of, if handled prudently, people can mix and mingle…being responsible is the key.
