NC Governor Roy Cooper has announced the Phase 1 level of reopening the state. In his message to the public, he included the statement “parks and trails are encouraged to reopen”.

In that spirit, the Tryon Garden Club has reopened Pearson’s Falls and The Glen. To ensure our visitors will have a pleasant and safe experience, we are following certain NC State and CDC guidelines.

The Pearson’s Falls gatekeepers will wear masks and gloves and will use sanitizer after each cash or credit card transaction. Entry and parking at the Falls will be limited to 20 cars at a time. Picnics are not allowed, and the restrooms are closed.

We ask that visitors to Pearson’s Falls wear masks and bring hand sanitizer. Benches, railings, tables and other commonly touched surfaces are not sanitized. Also, please practice six-foot distancing and trail etiquette especially through the narrow areas of the trail. There are designated waiting areas to help visitors avoid close passage to other visitors.

During busy times, we ask visitors not to linger too long as other guests may be waiting to enter.

Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

For more information, call 828 749-3031 or visit www.pearsonsfalls.org . Click on “Plan Your Visit”, where you may review the guidelines.
