The application deadline for the Practical Nursing program at Isothermal Community College has been extended to Thursday, June 25.

The deadline had already been extended once to allow students more time during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Recent events have made it clear that nurses are in great demand and will continue to be in demand, said Stephanie Denison, the director of the program. “Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) have been working on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Job stability for LPNs has held steady over the years and has increased with the current crisis. More practical nurses are needed to join the healthcare team. In only one year’s time, you could be one of those nurses.”

People interested in becoming a nurse have an opportunity to begin classes this August.
