Dear Tryon Friends,
Just saw that the TDB has found it necessary to reduce its circulation schedule which seems to have caused some concerns among subscribers, and citizens in general. I just wanted to send a note of support to the Bulletin publisher and staff….and to the TDB’s readers.
We have lived in Tryon more than 20 years and at one time I even wrote some editorial pieces for the paper, so I still have somewhat of an emotional attachment to TDB. I write this as an appeal to subscribers and e-readers to stick with the TDB through these difficult times.
The newspaper is just one of many local businesses trying to survive the lockdown and restrictions that threaten the livelihood of so many small businesses in Polk County. We all will be poorer for the loss of any of them when times return to “normal” …. or the “new normal” as I hear it described.
At the very least, the TDB has been the source of “what’s going on” in Tryon and Polk County. As much time as I spend on my computer, there is no real substitute for their e-edition or paper edition if you want to keep up with life and death in our county.
This too shall pass…. but in the meantime, let’s do what we can to help perpetuate the quality of life we have enjoyed in Tryon by supporting the TDB and our other local businesses that are struggling to remain viable.
