Columbus identifies one man in storage unit break-in

COLUMBUS—The Columbus Police Department has identified one man accused of breaking into units at the Columbus Storage. 

James Wesley Larabee, of Inman, S.C. has warrants for felony breaking and entering a building, felony conspiracy to break and enter a building, possession of burglary tools and injury to personal property, according to Columbus Police reports.

The storage units were broken into at 7:32 a.m. Monday, with several items stolen. There were two men caught on surveillance as well as the vehicle and tag number. The vehicle was a dark gray Nissan Vera with a temporary South Carolina tag number GG0428U. 

Anyone who may know of Larabee’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Columbus Police Department at 828-894-5464 or call 911. The Columbus Police Department is seeking the identity of the second suspect.
