Due to the concerns of the Coronavirus and visitor safety, the Polk County Historical Museum will be closed through the end of March. In early April, a decision will be made to determine an appropriate time to reopen the museum.

“We regret that the museum will be unavailable for an undetermined period of time,” said Pat McCool, Polk County Historical Association President. “The plan will be to open as soon as concerns over this new virus have subsided. We hope that will be in early April.”

The Polk County Historical Museum is located at 60 Walker Street in downtown Columbus.
