TLT announces cast for “Bright Star”

Director Dan Harvey has chosen a wonderful cast for Tryon Little Theater’s next musical, “Bright Star”, written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell.
Set in the Blue Ridge Mountains just after WWII, the plot is loosely based on a true story. It offers a rollercoaster of emotions, some beautiful music and most importantly, a happy ending.
“We have a delightfully talented cast,” says Harvey. “Audiences will love seeing some favorite faces, but will be thrilled by some new ones too.”
In alphabetical order: Ryan Barry plays Max, Ellie Booth and Connie Cedervall are in the ensemble. Maggie Collins is Margo, and Liam Daniels, ensemble. Rachael Harris plays Edna, Stephen Harris plays Stanford, and Ryan Holub is Jimmy. Susie Kocher is Mama Murphy, Hannah Lynch is the Well-Dressed Woman, Maddy Moreland is Florence and Crystal Pace plays Lucy.
Joel Perkin is Daddy Cain, Alex Poteat, ensemble, and Dennis Sanders plays Dr. Norquist. Mark Sawyer is Daddy Murphy, Hannah Searcy is Alice Murphy and Will Springer is the Mayor. Trey Westbrook plays Daryl, Payton Williams is Billy Ray Cain, Kyle Wilson is in the ensemble and Karen Workman is the Government Clerk.
The show plays March 5 through the 8, at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, with three evening performances and two matinees. Please visit www.tltinfo.org for more information.
