Art students from area schools will have their work included in the Showcase of Excellence exhibition at TFAC

 

Students at several area schools will soon be selected for the Showcase of Excellence, a juried art show and exhibition at Tryon Fine Arts Center.

 

Showcase of Excellence is an annual celebration of art students and classrooms in the foothills. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st place winners in each of the 6 categories as well as to their teachers to use in their classroom. Art educators in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina are invited to submit student work for the juried exhibition, on display from February 15 through March 7, 2020.

 

Due to the construction in progress at Tryon Fine Arts Center, this year’s exhibit and opening reception will be held near the center in Parsec Financial’s Tryon Depot Room, located at 22 Depot Street in Tryon.

 

The exhibit opens with a free public reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, February 15 at 10:30am.
