Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Emery Dessoffy lived life to the fullest.  He always promised adventure. He fought his battle with cancer valiantly; and was optimistic to the end that he would beat it.  He succumbed with dignity and grace.

Emery was always reinventing himself.  He has been a pirate, a sailor, a cowboy, a race car driver and a motorcycle “gang” member.  Whatever he did, he went all-out and embraced his character with unbridled joy and enthusiasm.  This was how he conducted the other aspects of his life- joyously and enthusiastically. He was always proud to bring his wife along as his side kick on these adventures.

Emery leaves behind his wife, Yvonne, as well as his blended family.  His children include Beth Shirley, Stephanie Jordan, Clark Jordan, Tara Dessoffy and Travis Dessoffy.  Additionally, Emery will be missed by untold numbers of people whose lives he has touched.

He lived by the works of Hunter S. Thompson:   “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skin in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, “Wow, what a ride”!

Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
