Columbus, NC—Charles Randolph “Randy” Ashley, 64, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Smith Phayer Hospice house in Landrum, SC.
Randy was the son of Fred Ashley and the late Rebecca “Becky” Coggins Ashley. He was born and raised in Polk County, NC. For over 50 years, Randy worked at Ashley’s Upholstery as a skilled upholsterer and master craftsman. He was a lifetime member of the Columbus Presbyterian Church. Randy was a loyal and loving son, brother, and father. He was a dependable friend and member of the community that could always be counted on. Randy was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and member of the Polk County Gun Club for many years. He lived a full and happy life. Randy will be greatly missed by many, but he is now at peace.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca “Becky” Coggins Ashley; a sister, Terri “Susie” Elaine Ashley, and a brother, Christopher Norman Ashley.
Surviving are his father, Fred Ashley; two brothers, Philip Ashley (Donna) and Shannon Ashley (Hope); one sister, Amanda Pack (Kevin); one daughter, Cortney Ashley (Casey Pullen); one son, Colby Ashley (Jasmine) and one grandchild on the way.
A receiving of friends and a reception will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Columbus Presbyterian Church in Columbus, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorials be made to Columbus Presbyterian Church.
