LANDRUM – Operation Hope is known as being a place of refuge for those in need. They are there to help no whatever their cause may be.

In their generous, giving spirit, Operation Hope was able to present bags of food to the local Aging and Wellness Group that meets at the Landrum Depot on Thursday mornings.

The bags of food were donated by shoppers of the Landrum BI-LO. During the winter months, Landrum BI-LO customers are asked if they would like to round up their bills to help those in need receive food bags around this time of year. From those generous donations, Operation Hope has already received 150 bags of food as of now and Tompkins shared that people are still donating and that more bags are expected to come in.

On the same day, Lions Club of Landrum presented Operation Hope with a check from the Lions Club Annual Spirit Christmas Fund for the amount of $1,115. The money will be used to help Operation Hope to continue their good deeds of helping the community.
