Jimmi Buell, Family and Consumer Science Agent of the Polk County Cooperative Extension Services, was the guest speaker at Kiwanis on Wednesday, November 6.

 

She spoke of educational programs offered by Cooperative Extension, especially in the area of healthy diets and cooking. The Mediterranean diet, consisting of fruits and vegetables, grains and fish, is the healthiest diet according to more recent research.
