Landrum to offer Winter Farmers Market

Saturday, October 26, was the last day of the outdoor Landrum Farmer’s, but there’s good news for farmer’s market shoppers.
Starting Friday, November 1, the historic Landrum Depot will be hosting the indoor Winter Market from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on the first and third Friday each month, including an extra day, November 29, following Thanksgiving Day.
December 20th will be the next market day, and a perfect time to finish Christmas shopping.
More than twenty vendors will be selling their wares, including pottery, bird feeders, baked goods, cookies, root vegetables, honey and goat milk soap just to name a few.
Looking for Christmas gifts? Stained glass suncatchers, knitted scarves and hats, walking sticks and homemade toffee could be the perfect present for friends and relatives on your Christmas list. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner? Pick up herbal flavored vinegars, apple butter and apple pie filling, microgreens and winter produce to make dinner planning easy.
Some helpful tips for market shopping, bring a tote bag to fill with your purchases. Small bills, ones and fives, are always appreciated.
The winter market will continue at the Landrum depot through April next spring. The Saturday morning market will resume the first Saturday in May 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon.
