Pumpkin Picking is not over yet

Landrum United Methodist Church has once again opened their yearly Pumpkin Patch. This decade long tradition is no secret to the town of Landrum. With Halloween right around the corner, it goes without saying that pumpkins are a statement.

The patch began with roughly five hundred pumpkins, with less than a hundred remaining. The patch benefits the church’s local ministries, O.P. Earle’s backpack ministry and the churches local men’s repair team.

After speaking with church member Trudy Van Hoorhis, she agreed this pumpkin patch does wonders for the ministry. She said that between the kickoff bake sell and the pumpkin patch, the church is able to raise a nice amount for the ministries.

The pumpkin patch at LUMC is not only a great way to help the community but also enjoy some family pumpkin carving.
