Several demonstrations will be made as well as activities and food. Students can meet animals from the Foothills Humane Society, see a K-9 demonstration at 11 a.m., see emergency vehicle displays, get their faces painted, play in a bounce house and have their identification cards and finger printing. There will also be free food.

Polk County Captain Breena Williams said the center of the event will be the backpack/school supply give-away but there will also be presentations from numerous agencies.

All students are welcome. The only restriction is that the child must be present to receive their bag.

Several organizations will be on hand to let the community know what services they provide, Williams said.

“We will have games, a bounce house, kid identification/finger printing, face painting and free food,” Williams said.

School begins in Polk County on Monday, Aug. 26.
