Fay Nelson Wuehrmann, age 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Minocqua, Wisconsin after spending Mother’s Day with her family the day before.  She is survived by her daughter Kyle, sons Chris and John and many grandchildren, nephews and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bill “Wormy” Wuehrmann, her son William “Pip” Wuehrmann and her beloved canines with Patch being her most recent.  Fay was a kind and generous soul with a ready smile, a keen wit and an optimistic spirit. She was an exceptional cook who loved to entertain and an avid story teller.  Fay loved life here in Tryon playing bridge and golf with her many friends, singing in the Community Chorus and the Presbyterian Church choir and being active in numerous organizations such as AAUW and the Tryon Garden Club.  Fay was a devoted Christian and member of the Tryon Presbyterian Church and strong in her faith through the end.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
