Widely perceived as the most effective radio show ever, Sorry, Wrong Number, will be heard at the April meeting of the WCCR Old Time Radio Club. The stirring performance by Agnes Moorehead horrified the nation when first heard in a 1943 episode of the Suspense radio program. Sorry,Wrong Number soon became so popular that it was rebroadcast seven times.   

 

Also to be heard at the meeting will be two short George Burns radio comedy skits – one involving income tax forms.   

 

After an old time radio trivia quiz, an early TV episode of Mr. District Attorney will be shown. This is one of many top radio programs that were successfully adapted to early television.   

 

The meeting takes place Monday April 15th at 3:00 p.m. at Isothermal College in Columbus.
