The Tryon Cemetery Commission in partnership with the Tryon Parks 
Committee has scheduled a cemetery clean-up day for Saturday, March 30 
from 9 AM until Noon. Volunteers are asked to bring rakes, clippers, 
hand saws, heavy-duty garbage bags and gloves for the special work day.  
 

The Tryon Historic Cemetery is located at 425 Markham Road across from 
the Garrison Chapel Baptist Church. While working with cemetery 
commission members, volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about 
the history of the cemetery, plans for future improvements and the Tryon 
Archival Research Center.
