PCEC offering free formal dresses

Published 11:09 pm Sunday, March 17, 2019

Polk County Early College is again holding our annual dress giveaway for students. These dresses are totally free, no questions asked. In the past we have given away over 275 dresses to students of all incomes. We have 350+ dresses this year in sizes 0 – 28. Come shop for spring formals, and of course the prom. We have dressing rooms for you to try on the dress of your dreams. This dress drive is a part of Becca’s Closet, a non-profit based out of Florida.

PCEC is located across from the BP station on Highway 108, next to Polk County High School in Columbus. We will be open for shopping this Thursday, March 21st and Friday, March 22nd from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, March 23, we will be open from 10:00 a.m.  2:00 p.m.

You may preview some of the dresses at PCEC_dressdrive on Instagram. We will be updating our Instagram account over the weekend. We have both short and long dresses. This year we even have formal jumpsuits. Unfortunately, we cannot load a picture of every dress. Please remember many of the dresses are new recognizable name brand items with the tags still on them. The dresses have been donated by Macy’s, Belk’s and David’s Bridal.
