Hobey Ford helps you detach from the digital world at this year’s Super Saturday

What if we were cut off for a time from the digital world? How soon would we be overwhelmed with boredom? “Sea Song” refutes the assumption that we need stimulation from our electronic devices and proposes that even a city boy can learn how fascinating and absorbing the natural world can be when separated from his phone. Master puppeteer Hobey Ford returns to Super Saturday on March 16 with the story of a boy who becomes caught up in the world of the sea turtle and creatures of the coastal environment.
Recipient of puppetry’s highest honor, the UNIMA Citation of Excellence, Asheville resident Ford is known for excellence in puppetry performance and craft. Both master storyteller and innovator in puppetry craft, Ford is a Kennedy Center Center Partner who shares his craft with educators both locally and all over the country.
In its 41st year, Super Saturday this year will honor the memory of Joe Wray, one of the founders of Super Saturday. For more information on location and performance time, visit our website, tryonsupersaturday.com, or follow us on Facebook.
