Polk County District Court Results – Jan. 23, 2019

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, with Judge Emily G. Cowan presiding, 94 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Marcellus A. Boston was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Boston was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $20 fine and court costs.

Guerrero Cruz Jr. was convicted of speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. Cruz was fined $20 and court costs.

Raymond Earl Dancy Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Dancy was fined $40 and court costs.

Joshua Shante Gaffney was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Gaffney was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.

Daniel Joshua Greer was convicted of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Greer was fined $50 and court costs.

Timothy Wayne Hamrick was convicted of possession/manufacture fraudulent identification. Hamrick was sentenced to 45 days in jail with credit for time served.

Jason Michael Jackson was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Jackson was fined $50 and court costs.

Zack Murray was convicted of failure to wear rear seat belt and failure to appear on misdemeanor. Murray was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Edward James Riddle was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Riddle was fined $20.

Gary Duane Riggin was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Riggin was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Thomas Gray Smith Jr. was convicted of failure to comply with monies. Smith’s unsupervised probation was terminated.

Christopher R. Stoehr was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Stoehr was fined $40 and court costs.

Christopher D. Tucker was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Tucker was fined $40 and court costs.

Majid Marzeena Zahrah was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Zahrah was fined $40 and court costs.
