Hannah Searcy (playing Sophie), Reese Alley (Lisa), and Maddy Moreland (Ali) play very good friends in Tryon Little Theater’s upcoming musical, “Mamma Mia,” which will open Feb. 14 at the Fine Arts Center in Tryon.

This is the first time on the TLT stage for Searcy, but she has performed for 10 years with Spartanburg Little Theatre, Spartanburg Repertory Company and the Rutherford County Arts Council.

Alley has grown up on the TLT stage, however, playing Gretl, the youngest von Trapp child in “The Sound of Music.” She is also a star athlete, playing soccer and running track for Polk County High School.

Moreland caught the theater bug at age 10, and is currently a junior at Converse College, studying musical theater, arts management and dance. Like Searcy, this is her first time performing with TLT, too.

“They make a wonderful trio on stage, and they’re having enormous fun doing it,” said Director Dan Harvey.

Tickets for “Mamma Mia” are available on line at tltinfo.org or by calling 828-859-2466.  Opening Thursday, Feb. 14 at the Tryon Fine Arts Center, there are three evening performances at 7:30 p.m., with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Feb. 16, and one at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17.
