According to police officials, a Spartanburg County Sherriff’s Office investigator assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children task force began an investigation on Dec. 3, after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in Spartanburg County was downloading child pornography. That investigator, along with Homeland Security, identified and located the suspect, and their investigation led to a search warrant being executed at the suspect’s residence this week.
