Saluda Elementary School students enjoyed holiday shopping at their annual Christmas Bazaar, held in the school gymnasium. Each student visited the bazaar and purchased up to five items, for $1 per item. The school raised over $700.00 at this event, with all of the proceeds used to fund each child with four free books throughout the school year. “We had more donations of items for the bazaar this year, and I thank the community and parents for their tremendous support of this program,” said Principal Cari Maneen. Over 25 family volunteers wrapped gifts and helped the younger students shop. Dr. Maneen said the fifth-grade students did a wonderful job of setting up and taking down the items for bazaar. “This school and community effort is a much-loved event for our students,” Maneen said.
