Asheville Christian built a 22-7 halftime lead and went on to post a 45-22 win Monday over Polk County Middle in girls basketball action in Swannanoa.

Polk Middle dropped to 1-4 with the loss.

ACA’s Averie AuBuchon had eight points in the first half and finished with 11, including a pair of 3-pointers, to lead the Lions.

Mia Bradley had five points to lead Polk Middle, with Caroline Taylor, Gavionna Carson and Paige Griffin each scoring four. Ada Kelley and Sarah Gray each finished with two points, and Kayleigh Wilson added one.
