David Bryan Ramsey, 50, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 10, 2018, at his residence.

Born in Asheville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Jackie Calvin Ramsey and Teresa McKinney Moore.

He was a loving father and grandfather. 

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Debra Moore Ramsey; two sons, Wesley Bryan Ramsey of Rutherfordton and James David “J.D.” Ramsey (Caitlyn) of Rutherfordton; one daughter, Miranda Nicole Ramsey of the home; two grandchildren, Chase David Lee Ramsey and Tierney A. Ramsey; two sisters, Melissa Moore of Mill Spring and Jennifer Randolph of Marion. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

A funeral will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Polk County, with the Rev. Warren Elliott officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
