Five Polk County players have been chosen for the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association All-Region 10 1A squad.

Seniors Jesus Avellaneda and Clark Phipps, and juniors Isaac Edwards, Grayson Jones and Nicolas Lopez were all named to the 1A team, which also included players from Swain, Hayesville, Blue Ridge and Murphy.

The five Wolverines were part of a Polk County squad that reached the 1A West Regional final before dropping a 1-0 decision to Community School of Davidson.
