Saluda Police Department Report – Oct. 2018

During the month of October, the Saluda Police Department responded to 72 calls for service.

There were 32 state citations issued; seven city citations issued; 11 warnings; three larcenies; four breaking and entering; 10 welfare checks; five alarms; and 11 suspicious persons/vehicles.

Officers checked businesses and churches every night and make five arrests, including three on warrant, one stolen vehicle and one larceny by employee.

Officers did one road check with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus Police Department, and patrolled a total of 5,680 miles.
