Michael Brandon Baisden, 43, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 18, 2018, at his home. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of Fred and Terry Stubbs Baisden, of Saluda, North Carolina. Growing up in the Boy Scouts, he attained Eagle Scout and later entered the hospitality industry. Prior to moving to Mt. Pleasant 12 years ago, he lived and worked in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Wofford College and a Sigma Nu member. Surviving in addition to his parents is one brother, Derrick Baisden (Kristine) of Greenville, South Carolina; and two nieces, Amelia Rose Bayne and Elliott Grace Baisden. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Lori Knoespel, the Rev. Rob Parsons and the Rev. David Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately follow-ing the service at the funeral chapel.
