In Polk County, there will be several opportunities to meet with counselors during open enrollment.

On Thursday, Oct. 18; Friday, Oct. 26; and Monday, Nov. 19, Pam Doty, a volunteer Medicare counselor with 15 years of experience, will be available at Ovens Pharmacy to help individuals with their specific Medicare concerns.

An appointment is necessary, which can be made by calling 828-817-4387. Visitors are asked to bring their Medicare card and a list of their current medications to the appointment.

There is no fee for the service.
