Wolverine JVs stay perfect in WHC play

Polk County’s junior varsity volleyball squad remained unbeaten in Western Highlands Conference play, sweeping Owen 2-0 on Thursday in Swannanoa.
The Wolverines captured a 25-13, 25-15 win to improve to 11-5 overall, 6-0 against WHC teams.
Emmie McDowell had 12 assists, four digs and three kills for Polk, with Rachael Davis adding four kills and three digs. Rollins Carter had 11 digs, Kylee Mullis had five aces and six digs, and Belen Akers had five digs and two kills.
The Wolverines will host Avery at 5 p.m. Monday in another WHC match.
