Norma Carroll Duerr was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on Nov. 25, 1922. She passed away on Sept. 13, 2018, at White Oak Manor.

Norma is survived by three children, William Carroll (Averil) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Susie Carroll Lindsey (Fred) of Columbus, North Carolina, and Wayne Carroll (Judy) of Ocoee, Florida.

In the early years Norma was a homemaker, travelling throughout the United States as an Army wife and living in Italy for four years. She was an excellent cook, making her favorite food for others, especially during the holiday season.

Norma always loved animals from a child, rescuing and adopting many during her lifetime. Her face would light up when a family member would bring in an animal to visit White Oak residents.

Norma has two grandchildren, Tammy and Perry; three great-grandchildren, Trevor, Kortney and Serenity; and six great-great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Joseph, Thomas, Paisley, Landon and Sawyer.
