Polk County District Court Results – Aug. 29

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, with Judge Robert Martelle presiding, 136 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Isonya Tierra Broome was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Broome was fined $20 and court costs.

Amanda Sue Butts was convicted of probation violation. Butts was sentenced to 48 hours in jail.

Spencer Allen Garner was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation, resisting public officer and intoxicated and disruptive. Garner’s probation was terminated unsuccessfully and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Erin Lashea Hogsed was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Hogsed was fined $100 and court costs.

Fredrick Leon Jerman was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Jerman was fined $20 and court costs.

Hannah S. McSwain was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. McSwain was fined $84 and court costs.

Willie Douglas Sahms was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Sahms was fined $50 and court costs.
