There will be bridge, hearts, canasta and other games for those who want to play.  People may also bring their favorite game or puzzle.

Guests may also read, mingle or perhaps just sit and meditate.

There will also be speakers scheduled to come and share information or their talents with everyone.

The first speaker at noon on Thursday will be Beth Spring, a physician’s assistant and yoga instructor. Spring will give a talk about “Health over 50,” with topics including weight, diet, exercise, screening, mental health, joint health and osteoporosis.

The second speaker will be Tina Durbin, from Tryon Health and Fitness, on Thursday Sept. 13.

Drinks and snacks will be provided, though guests may bring a packed lunch if they prefer.

Holy yoga

Holy Yoga classes are held at 6 p.m. on Monday evenings and at 10 a.m. on Tuesday mornings. The classes are led by Beth Spring.

Her classes are designed for all levels.
