Hilda Ann Whitmire, 71, of 1881 Big Island Road, Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday at Holly Springs Assisted Living Home.

Hilda was a native of Polk County, was employed as a nursing home activities coordinator and a CNA. She was a member of the Church of the Nazerene in Hendersonville and a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University.

Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Osa Aiken Whitmire, and a beloved grandson, Brandon Hoxit.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Lisa Bradley and Kym Potter; three grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Hudson, of Mill Spring. She is remembered with love by a number of aunts, uncles, friends and other family members.

At Hilda’s request, no services will be held.
