Looking for some info on a former Tryonite
Published 8:00 am Wednesday, July 11, 2018
I am writing a paper on the American writer, novelist, poet, autobiographer, preacher and theologian Frederick Buechner, who lived in Tryon during his early teenage years, sometime between 1936 and 1941.
Buechner entered the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey in 1941, and soon after made the decision to become a writer. I would like to explore the influence that living in Tryon during his formative adolescent years may have had on Buechner’s decision to become a writer.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have any information at all about Buechner that might help to shed some light on this inquiry.
