The Tryon Country Club Men’s Golf Association played a nine-hole Carolina Scramble format on July 2.

The competition was very close, with five teams within two strokes of the lead.

The winners were as follows:

First place: Doug Gelbert, Jerry Lasco, Charles McKeller and Art Brown – 34

Second place: Bill Basye, George Torres, John Gargiulo and Stan Haladyna – 34

Third place: Jerry Pospisil, Jim Diggs, Bill McCall and Norm Johnson – 35

Fourth place: Steven Morgan, Michael Burrell, Ingram Willis and Ben Fox – 35
