To the writer to this paper, the media pundits and the politicians who would compare our government to the Nazis under Hitler, hear this.

I am a Jew. My people were nearly eradicated from the face of our planet by Hitler and the Nazis.

In the Nazi “concentration camps,” a euphemism for death camps, people were gassed to death, starved to death, worked to death and murdered and tortured in many more creative ways for no other reason than that they were Jews.

In our detention centers at our borders, people who tried to cross into our country illegally are clothed, fed, sheltered, educated and provided recreation for no other reason than Congress has failed to do its job by passing legislation that would properly deal with illegal immigration.

Your comparisons to the Nazis are not only incorrect, they are immoral, because they perpetuate a lie and thereby perpetuate evil.

It is not shame on us. It is shame on you.
