The Saluda Historic Depot had announced a “Rock & Roll” dance and dinner fundraiser on July 21 to raise funds to help with the mortgage payoff of the depot. 

Since the natural disaster of floods and mudslides in the community, the depot is joining with Linda and Bob Whitaker, of The Party Place & Event Center, to raise this money for victims of the natural disaster. All net proceeds from ticket sales, beverage sales, silent auction and donations will be donated to the NC Baptist Men, a division of Baptists on Mission, who has set up a relief center at Midway Baptist Church in Columbus.

The group has set up a fund for Polk County to help with 54 families, and all funds will be used to assist these families. The Baptists on Mission are all volunteers who work to help individuals and families affected by disaster rebuild their lives and homes. 

The fundraiser will take place from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Party Place & Event Center, 221 Friendship Church Road, Saluda.

Guests are invited to dress in 60s fashion and enjoy music by the Super 60s Band. The fundraiser will feature dinner, cash bar, silent auction and more.

The Saluda’s Got Talent competition will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. Guests may be entertained by local talent and can help the judges select the winners.
